On the Grey’s Anatomy episode “Something Against You,” there’s a lot of personal business being hashed out. Penny (Samantha Sloyan) finally stands up for herself against Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) — and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) urges Ben (Jason George) to kick out roommate Jackson (Jesse Williams). But the highest point of personal tension arises when a “Doctor Nathan” shows up at the hospital and dives right in to treat a patient. Maggie (Kelly McCreary) calls him out and wants to know what his credentials are. When Owen (Kevin McKidd) discovers Nathan in scrubs, he goes ballistic. The mysterious Dr. Nathan is someone from Owen’s past who will, according to McKidd, turn Owen’s life “upside down.”
