Wearing black leather short shorts and super high heels, 19-year-old singer Riley Biederer sings the Beyonce song ‘XO’ for her Knockout against Regina Love on The Voice. It’s a breathy number. After her performance, Adam Levine released a quick “woo”, and Riley’s mentor Gwen Stefani liked it enough to give Riley a standing ovation.

But when Regina Love (who’s also clad in black leather) performs ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’, the song that made Gladys Knight famous, the maturity of Regina’s voice erases any lingering note from Riley’s performance. Damnit, Regina means every note she sings and she’s not leaving until you hear each and every one. Adam Levine gets on his feet in awe as does Pharrell. Regina is a powerhouse, but will her maturity help or hinder her chance of winning? The Voice airs Mondays at 8pm and Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
