Christina Applegate Plays Cougar In ‘Crash Pad’ Comedy

Get ready to see more of actress Christina Applegate. After guest starring in an episode of The Grinder – she plays an ex-girlfriend of Rob Lowe’s character – Applegate will star in a new comedy Crash Pad. A young man (Domhnall Gleeson, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens) falls in love with an older woman (Applegate) who turns out to be married. She just used the young guy to make her husband (Thomas Haden Church, Sideways) jealous. The husband decides the best way to get back at his wife is to move in with Gleeson’s character and live the life of a bachelor which will drive his wife up the wall.

Crash Pad is executive produced by Alexander Payne who directed Haden Church in Sideways and George Clooney in The Descendants. Actress Nina Dobrev of The Vampire Diaries will also have a role on Crash Pad. P.S. Dobrev and Applegate are both featured in the newly released, second edition of the book The Beauty Book for Brain Cancer.
