Following the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood episode where Miles comes out as gay to his girlfriend Amber, VH1 will broadcast a special show titled LHH: Out In Hip Hop. The panel consists of religious experts and pastors including Rev. Delman Coates who will talk about homosexuality in the Black Church, which has historically served as a second family to many. The show addresses what happens when your family doesn’t accept you.
The host of the show is ABC News correspondent TJ Holmes. He got his big break in the business as an anchor for CNN’s Saturday & Sunday Morning. He then hosted BET’s Don’t Sleep. Since September 2014 he’s been with ABC News. Holmes is a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, and in 2011 he was named to The Root 100 List of Most Influential Black Americans. He is married to Atlanta attorney Marilee Fiebig, and is the father of three. Of the show, TJ Holmes tweeted: “I pray it has a positive impact.” LHH: Out In Hip Hop airs at 11pm on VH1.
