Ever since the former star of Basketball Wives: Miami Tami Roman came on Basketball Wives LA, she’s been stirring the pot. Her new young nemesis is Brandi Maxiell. Brandi is married to NBA basketball player Jason Maxiell. Tami, the ex-wife of Kenny Anderson, is now in a relationship with a younger man who’s not a celebrity basketball player. Whenever Tami gets under Brandi’s skin, Brandi accuses Tami of being “thirsty” and appearing on any reality TV show that will have her. Whenever Brandi gets under Tami’s skin, she asks about Brandi’s husband’s career.
Jason Maxiell, the 6’7” power forward, last played in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets during the 2014-2015 season. His guaranteed salary in 2015 with the Hornets was $1,183,696. In August 2015, the 32-year-old signed with the Chinese Basketball Association’s team the Tianjin Golden Lions. According to HoopsRumors.com, Maxiell “didn’t seem to garner much attention on the market this summer or in the summer prior, for that matter, so a move overseas seems like a logical one.” Basketball Wives LA airs Sundays at 9pm on VH1.
