Actress Nikki Reed will portray America’s #1 seamstress, Betsy Ross, on the historical sci-fi series Sleepy Hollow. She told The Today Show that she has been given the task of bringing sex appeal to the show. “I’m not your typical Betsy, not the one you would envision,” she told Kathy Lee Gifford. The Reed-version of Ross is “kind of a kick-ass, sexier version.” Don’t expect to see this Betsy Ross sitting on a rocking chair.
Nikki Reed is best known for her role as Sadie Campbell on The O.C. and as Rosalie Hale in the Twilight film franchise. When not on the set of Sleepy Hollow, Reed is filming The Highway Is for Gamblers, a movie about a young woman (Bonnie Wright, Harry Potter) who goes missing at a rodeo and her friend’s (Reed) determination to find her. Sleepy Hollow airs on Thursdays at 9pm on Fox.
