Country singer Luke Bryan is promoting the heck out of his latest album Kill The Lights. During an interview with Rolling Stone, he was asked about the photo chosen for the album cover. It’s a black-and-white, meant to be a candid, behind-the-scenes shot. Rolling Stone pointed out that it’s the first time Bryan isn’t smiling on an album cover. “Is that representative of you releasing a more mature album?” Bryan was asked.
Bryan’s response was defensive. He says he’s critiqued for his teeth being too white. “They’re my teeth. They’re not fake. I didn’t go pick them out of a brochure.” He explained the photo chosen was from when he was on the road. “When we start looking at the cover, we don’t go, ‘Ooh, this is going to be the one where I’m not smiling.’ We go, ‘I Like that image; throw it up there.’”
