On Gotham, Captain Nathaniel Barnes lands on the Gotham City Police Department “like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force.” Barnes picks up a strong ally in an admiring Gordon (Ben McKenzie). And Gordon could use an ally during “The Rise of the Villains.” But nothing’s forever, especially in Gotham. TVLine reports, “one day he [Barnes] will make an equally powerful enemy.”

Barnes is portrayed by Michael Chiklis. He’s best known for his roles as Detective Vic Mackey on The Shield, The Thing / Ben Grimm in the Fantastic Four movies, and as Tony Scali on The Commish. Chiklis was most recently on American Horror Story as Dell Toledo and Sons of Anarchy as Milo. Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on Fox.
