On The Voice, contestant Braiden Sunshine chooses the song “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble for his Knockout Round. He rehearses with his coach Gwen Stefani and guest coach Rihanna who describes Braiden as “just this 15-year-old boy in nerdy glasses and his curly hair…but the voice that comes out of him is scar-rey.” Ri gives him encouraging advice, “If your voice cracks, just commit to the note.”

Coach Gwen Stefani thinks Braiden’s biggest challenge is feeling comfortable in his own skin on stage. He’s picked a theatrical song “so he need to go there.” The ladies are impressed overall with his rehearsal but they would like him to do something with that hair. Rihanna suggests that he slick it back with a side part. When Gwen tells Rihanna that she tried to talk Braiden into slicking back his hair last time Braiden said his friends wouldn’t talk to him. Rihanna ends the conversion: “Well your friends would if you’re making money, honey.” The Voice airs Mondays at 8pm, Tuesdays at 9pm on NBC.
