James Bond’s handmade English shoes are beautiful, no doubt. They are the stuff of GQ readers’ dreams. For Spectre, Bond’s sharp polished high-end kicks are made by storied cobblers Crockett and Jones, which handcrafts some of the finest footwear in the world. In the upcoming Bond flick (the 24th installment of the franchise), Daniel Craig will change his shoes about as often as Sean Connery used to have a martini. That’s right, Craig’s Bond will wear six different pair of Crockett and Jones shoes while saving the world in Spectre.
You can even win the whole Spectre shoe collection. That will get you the Camberley in black calf, Alex in black calf, Northcote in black wax calf, Norwich in black calf, Radnor in black calf and Swansea in dark brown suede. But what you won’t get is something another world famous (and fan favorite) secret agent — yes, Maxwell Smart — had: a phone in the sole. It’s probably Apple’s fault: the iPhone really put a hurtin’ on the shoe phone business. But surely Bond’s pal Q could team up with Crockett and Jones and make a shoe that really speaks to people.
