On the third week of Dancing with the Stars, celeb chef Paula Deen and her pro dancing partner Louis danced the zamba to the theme of Gilligan’s Island. She wanted to be Mary Ann but she got a costume for Mrs. Thurston Howell the Third’s wife, Lovie.
During rehearsals, Deen complained of being tired. Louis understood and told her to rest but that wasn’t enough. Deen repeatedly complained of being abandoned. “I’ve been abandoned before many times,” she confided in Louis. “I’ve been abandoned a lot.” (She might be referring to Kmart, Sears and Walmart.) Louis assured her “not this time.” Their performance was charming but not exactly on point. Judge Julianne Hough said, “I wanted it to be better.” Carrie Ann Inaba said, “Don’t get discouraged.” All four judges gave Deen a 5 out of 10. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
