Howard Stern regular Sal the Stockbroker (Governale) made his showbiz mark calling into the Howard Stern Show and ripping on producer Gary Dell’Abate (Baba Booey.) That’s a good way to get Stern’s attention. The phone, after all, is the critical talk radio tool. Sal is now a producer on the Howard Stern Show, and his phone act is still rolling along. The prank call master just recruited another hilarious comedian for Stern’s stable of performers — the terrific Jessica Kirson. It somehow feels like Kirson should have been a regular all along.
Word is Kirson will be joining Stern’s show for some prank calling of her own, according to fellow comic Jeffrey Gurian. The fearless Kirson — who also confesses to being “filled with fear” — has won praise from nearly everybody in the comedy biz, including Stern favorite Louis C.K.
