Country singer Benton Blount is a favorite on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent. His act isn’t flashy. It’s usually just him and his guitar on stage. But for the semifinals at Radio City Music Hall, Blount added orchestration and it totally worked. Howard Stern said he was worried about seeing Blount on the big stage but Blount made sure the stage didn’t swallow him up.

Mel B said, “You are an honest, real performer, I can feel your heart when you sing.” She said she could sense his nerves in the very beginning of the song but as the song went on, he eased into it. Hey, Blount is a pro. And he continues to tug on America’s heartstrings, especially when the camera pans to his wife and little boy in the audience. As Howie Mandel said: “The look on her face says it all. She knew you delivered.” Blount will likely be one of the 7 acts that advance on America’s Got Talent which airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC. But only if the people vote for him.
