Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting celebrated a bittersweet reunion with her 8 Simple Rules co-stars Amy Davidson and Martin Spanjers. The talented trio from the lovable show were all smiles about being together. But they were also in a down-to-earth, keep-it-real mode as they remembered a duo that deeply influenced them as precocious young stars: the late John Ritter and James Garner.
Ritter, who died unexpectedly in 2003, played the trio’s father. Garner came on to play a grandfather character — making sure the show, as it must, went on. The two venerable stars gave Cuoco, Spanjers and Davidson personal and professional role models for a lifetime. Davidson recently appeared on Better Call Saul.
