Kim Williams is a 29-year-old makeup artist and fashion designer “who feels she’s not taken seriously because of her weight.” So she’s doing something about it by taking the Extreme Weight Loss challenge. She’s proven her determination before. She left her family in Hawaii and moved to New York to study fashion at Parsons Design School. After her internship at Marchesa, according to her LinkedIn account, Williams got a job working at the high-end New York City department store, Bergdorf Goodman, in their client services department.

Williams hopes that once she sheds much of her current 279 lbs. that she’ll one day be able to model her own fashion designs on the runway. Under the wings of professional trainers Chris and Heidi Powell and with encouragement from dress designer Michael Costello (who dresses Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears), Williams is destined to succeed. Extreme Weight Loss airs Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
