Benjamin Yonattan is a blind ballet dancer who is auditioning on America’s Got Talent. The 14-year-old boy from Kalamazoo, Michigan was diagnosed at the age of 12 with the chronic vision condition retinal dystrophy. It “has him looking through life like a straw.”

Ben was adopted from Guatemala at the age of four. He is the youngest of 13 children. After his diagnosis, his family gave him Google Glass hoping it would help his vision. Ben said when he put it on he could see seven people! (When he took them off he “could only see one person with one eye.”) You can follow Ben and his experiment with Google Glass on Facebook. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
