According to Retired Captain Cragen (Dann Florek) on Law & Order: SVU, DA Kenneth O’Dwyer “got his hands dirty for a year and then got bumped up to white collar.” Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Amaro (Danny Pino) want to talk to O’Dwyer about an incest case he worked on 17 years ago. A young woman named Michelle (Samira Wiley) wants to recant her testimony which would free her father from prison.
O’Dwyer is portrayed by Robert Sean Leonard. He’s best known for his TV role as Dr. James Wilson on House, M.D. On film, he’s known as Tom in Whit Stillman’s The Last Days of Disco and as Neil Perry in Dead Poets Society with the late great Robin Williams. Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9pm on NBC.
