Dave Goldberg, husband of Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, died suddenly on Friday, May 1. He was 47 years old. Goldberg and Sandberg met in 1996 and married in 2004. They have two children.
Goldberg sold his music site LAUNCH Media to Yahoo! in 2001. He has been CEO of SurveyMonkey since 2009. After hearing the news, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo tweeted: “Heartbreaking. One of the truly great people on the planet, Dave was of almost unimaginably remarkable character.”
