Penn State University is suspending fraternity Kappa Delta Rho for three years. A Penn State investigation found that the fraternity was involved in a “persistent series of deeply troubling activities” including hazing and drug use, including the sale of drugs. The suspension is technically a withdrawal of recognition by the university.
The trigger for the investigation was the revelation last spring that Kappa Delta Rho fraternity brothers had uploaded multiple images of unconscious naked and half-naked women to a number of private Facebook pages. The university investigation called the fraternity responsible for creating a “climate of humiliation for women” on campus.
