Contestant Adam Villani took out fan favorite Steve Bahnaman on the TV game quiz series 500 Questions. (Bahnaman failed to answer question No. 168 correctly.) The show is a seven consecutive night broadcast which means Villani will try to earn as much money as he can on the remaining two nights. 500 Questions ends Thursday, May 28, 8pm on NBC.
Villani, a Caltech engineer from Long Beach, California, has TV quiz experience. He was on Jeopardy! in 2004. He played against another fan favorite Ken Jennings (and Merritt Hamilton Allen) during Jennings’ 61th game. (Jennings won 74 consecutive games.) Villani also competed on Win Ben Stein’s Money, where he won $5,000.
Note: see comments below for some clarification from Mr. Villani himself! He’s a city planner now and all-around good guy, apparently. Thanks, Adam.
