On the ancestry-driven show “Who Do You Think You Are?,” actor Tony Goldwyn “investigates his mother’s side of the family and discovers a history of civil-rights activism and an advocacy for westward expansion.” (His paternal grandfather was movie producer Samuel Goldwyn, who was born in the Jewish section of Warsaw in the 1870s.)
Tony Goldwyn is best known for his TV role as President Fitzgerald Grant on Scandal. He also starred in the films Ghost with Patrick Swayze, The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise, and Divergent with Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet. Who Do you Think You Are? airs Sundays at 10 pm on TLC.
