Real Housewives of New York City star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps says she’s officially changed her name. It’s a subtle change. She changed the capital A in LuAnn to a lower case — she is now Luann de Lesseps. She’s apparently been contemplating the change for years. What helped her make the leap to lower case was her new business. “When I decided to launch my Countess Collection, I knew ‘Countess LuAnn’ would be a lot of branding,” she explained.
Countess Collection is a fashion line sold exclusive on Evine.com. There are lots of affordable, easy-to-wear pretty prints and lace. However, all the branding on her website and Evine still carry the upper case A. Think it’ll hurt sales?
