Now when you boot up Minecraft you’re not stuck with Steve, that blocky boy in the blue shirt. Now Alex is available for play, too. She has thinner arms than Steve, and wears her red hair in a ponytail. (So not Steve.) Mojang developer Owen Hill says Alex “will come with eight different skins and doesn’t change the gameplay in any way.”
In addition to a playful, pony-tailed Alex, Playstation Minecraft players will get another skin pack this week – The Simpsons. And Xbox 360 players will get a bundle of new music tracks for Minecraft.
