The Top 5 contestants on American Idol went to Nashville to get some advice from country stars Martina McBride and Jay DeMarcus of the band Rascal Flatts. The girls – Tyanna Jones and Jax – went with Martina. The guys – Rayvon Owen, Nick Fradiani, and Clark Beckham – hung out with Jay.
Jay is one busy guy. When not on Riot Tour with his bandmates Gary Levox and Joe Don Ronney, they’re either filming the “Riot” video or filming their forthcoming TV mini-series about the Civil War. That’s right. All three of the guys of Rascal Flatts will star in a TV series called “To Appomattox.” DeMarcus describes it as a “Band of Brothers for the Civil War.” DeMarcus says he’s playing a Confederate soldier named Jesse Dunlap. He’ll also compose and score the series.
