Hannah Kirby performed Tina Turner’s song “We Don’t Need Another Hero” on The Voice. Kirby received a mix of critiques from the judges. Of course her mentor Blake Shelton said she was one of his “all-time favorite artists” on the show ever. But Christina Aguilera provided a more helpful critique – she told Kirby to work on her lower register a bit more.
Pharrell Williams, who seems afraid to say anything negative on the show, told Kirby, “You’re waving a flag for everyone who’s different.” He meant it as a compliment. But Kirby’s quirkiness might keep her from winning. Kirby’s song ranked the lowest on iTunes. Two of the Top 8 will be eliminated on The Voice, Tuesday, April 28 at 8pm on NBC. Think Kirby will make the cut?
