When professional dancer Derek Hough kicked his foot really hard against a light on the set of Dancing with the Stars, he broke his toe. And while going to get ice for his toe, he told ABC News, “I rolled my ankle severely, and sprained it.” While he can wobble around on crutches, “I certainly cannot dance.”

But that doesn’t mean Derek has quit Team Nastia. He showed up in the studio to help former Olympic gynmast Nastia Liukin and Hough’s stand-in pro Sasha Farber rehearse. Based on the short clip (see photo above), it looks like Hough found a way to stay in the routine. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
