Six of the 9 contestants remaining on American Idol are guys – Rayvon, Daniel, Clark, Nick, Quentin, and Qaasim. All of them – including the 3 girls (Jax, Joey, Tyanna) – will sing a Kelly Clarkson song next. Idol mentor Scott Borchetta says it will be challenge for some of the guys.
Borchetta wasn’t shy about saying that Rayvon Owen “really needs to step up.” But Rayvon’s not the only one who could be in trouble. “Qassim will need to find a sweet spot to make sure he delivers,” said Borchetta. And Daniel Seavey will need to “raise his vocal performance” too. Borchetta thinks Clark Beckham will have the easiest time with his Clarkson song. American Idol will air Wednesday, April 1, at 8pm on FOX.
