On Scorpion, in order to protect a key witness about to testify against a deadly drug cartel, Team Scorpion takes the endangered woman on the run. The key witness, Maya, is portrayed by Ginger Gonzaga.
The Scorpion role is an unusual one for Gonzaga. She’s best known for her comedic roles. She started her career at The Groundlings Theatre, Second City and The Upright Citizens Brigade. You’ve seen on her TV before. She had the lead role in ABC’s Mixology (another Maya!), as Jim Jefferies’ girlfriend in Legit, and in Anger Management with Charlie Sheen (her only other acting experience as potentially dangerous as Scorpion!) Gonzaga’s also appeared in films including The Morning After and Ted. We can’t wait to see her in the upcoming Still Punching the Clown opposite recent Oscar winner JK Simmons (Whiplash) and Sarah Silverman.
