On The Walking Dead, Rick and his group traveled successfully to the Alexandria Safe-Zone run by Deanna Moore. The newcomers face a number of challenges while trying to secure their new home and question the utopia they find themselves in. The group includes Father Gabriel Stokes, who Rick never really trusted. He suspects Father Gabriel of having something to do with the disappearance of Daryl, Carol and Bob. And after watching Rick and the others brutally murder the Terminus survivors in a house of God, Father Gabriel doesn’t believe Rick and the rest belong in the Safe-Zone. But how much power does a priest have in a post-apocalyptic world?
Father Gabriel Stokes is portrayed by Seth Gilliam. He’s a versatile actor but tends to land cop roles on TV. On Law & Order: Criminal Intent he was Det. Daniels; on The Wire he was Sgt. Ellis Carver, and on Oz he was Officer Clayton Hughes. Will Father Gabriel start acting more like a cop than a priest? The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
