Bridgit Mendler is already a big star if you’re a digital native. And she’s about to become a star even for those who like their media pushed at them, instead of pulled by choice. Network TV viewers, that is. The singer-comedian-entrepreneur with over 8 million likes on Facebook pretty much singlehandedly promoted the new season of NBC’s comedy Undateable. She broke it out. Then as a fast-talking waitress she stole the show once it came on–it’s hard to take your eyes off Mendler. Undateable airs on Tuesdays at 9pm.
A former star on Disney’s Good Luck Charlie and The Wizards of Waverly Place, Mendler’s videos on Vevo have been seen 178 million times. So NBC got her on board to make the promo for season 2 of Undateable that 3/4 of a million people had already pulled and watched by show time.
