SUR’s annual photo shoot has a 1950s theme this year. The guys look like “cutters” in tight white t-shirts, cuffed blue jeans, and plenty of pomade in their coiffed hair. The girls look like pin-ups in short shorts, and polka-dotted darted tops. The photos don’t tap the innocence of Happy Days or the complexity of Rebel Without A Cause. They can be best compared to Grease.
SUR bartender Jax proves he can look like a bad boy in any decade. And Ariana and Tom look like they’re the ones that they want. (Ooh, ooh, ooh!) But it’s Vanderpump Rules newbie Vail Bloom who goes beyond the cliches. In the photos, she doesn’t look like she’s playing dress up–it’s revelatory. She embodies the glamour and sex appeal of Marilyn Monroe. No wonder why she leaves men wanting more.
