Cristie Schoen, a competitor on Season 8 of Food Network Star in 2012, and her husband Joseph Codd were found murdered at their home in Leicester, North Carolina. Cristie, 38, was reportedly five months pregnant at the time of her death. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a man named Robert Jason Owens is in custody and has been charged with two counts of felony first-degree murder.
Cristie also worked as a stuntwoman on films including the upcoming Terminator Genisys and the Kate Bosworth horror film Before I Wake. Her husband Joe was a Hollywood grip who worked on the HBO show Carnivale.
