On Marvel’s Agent Carter on ABC, Chief Roger Dooley threatens Peggy. Dooley is known as a straight shooter–for getting the most out of his agents and for doing everything he can to protect them. But what about the guy playing the Chief, what’s his story?
Chief Dooley is played by actor Shea Whigham. Whigham got his big break in 2000 when director Joel Schumacher cast him opposite Colin Farrell in film Tigerland. Whigham has played a number of high-ranking cops over the years. In Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street he played Captain Ted Beecham. In Robert Redford’s The Conspirator he was Captain Cottingham. In the Liam Neeson action film Non-Stop he was FBI Agent Marenick. Whigham is also comfortable enforcing the law on TV – he starred as former Atlantic County Sheriff Eli Thompson on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
