Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz went on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show this week to talk about his split from Ashlee Simpson. He blamed youth and an identity crisis for the breakup. Wentz said when Fall Out Boy took a break in 2010, it affected his relationship with Simpson. “At 31, we’d had all these great years as a band, and then we took time off, and I basically became Mr. Mom,” he told Stern. Wentz and Simpson have a son together, Bronx, who is now 6 years old.
“I had the beard, the flannel shirt. I didn’t know what my identity was. That factored in. When your identity is what you do, it’s hard when you stop doing it,” said Wentz.
