Disney star Coco Jones of the film Let It Shine is hosting the Season 5 premiere of the reality TV show, Dance Moms. As a young successful singer, dancer and actress, the 17-year-old Jones knows what it’s like to feel the pressure to perform. Her first stage performance was at the age of seven when she sang the National Anthem at an NFL game. Full disclosure: her father is former NFL defensive end Mike Jones.
So why is Dance Moms recruiting Coco Jones? This season, dance instructor Abby Lee Miller intends to make her students triple threats, “not just perfect dancers.” That’s where Abby’s new studio in LA–a long way from her current home in Pittsburgh–will come in handy. Once it’s done, expect a slew of guest appearances from acting and singing pros.
