WWE told its comic book publisher, the Paper Cutz, to remove former WWE wrestler CM Punk from all future reprints of graphic novels with WWE storylines. Wrestling Inc. reports: “no word yet on which Superstar will be replacing Punk in the Paper Cutz comics.” Punk left the WWE in a big blow-up and has recently joined the UFC. He’s expected to fight against a professional mixed martial arts fighter, for the first time, later this year.
CM Punk (born Phil Brooks) is also writing a comic book story for the upcoming Thor Annual, to be published by Marvel Comics. Punk says he’s “learning on the job.” He has never written a comic-style script before. One thing for sure, CM Punk likes trying new things.
