Olympic champion Bruce Jenner got married for the second time in 1982. He married Elvis Presley’s longtime girlfriend, Linda Thompson. Her older brother Sam was one of Elvis’ bodyguards. Linda was an actress (a regular on the 1970s TV show Hee Haw) and a songwriter. She co-wrote the song “I Have Nothing” (with her future husband David Foster) which was performed by Whitney Houston in the film, “The Bodyguard.” During her nine year marriage to Bruce Jenner, Thompson had two children, Burt (now 36) and Cassandra (now 34).
Thompson and her second husband, and music collaborator David Foster stayed together for 14 years. In 2005, they starred in the reality TV show The Princes of Malibu. Foster tried to teach her spoiled stepsons, Brandon and Brody Jenner, to “straighten their lives up and earn their own way.” Foster is now married to former Dutch model Yolanda Hadid Foster, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
