Blink-182 released a press release that said the trio’s third member, Tom DeLonge, was out of the band. DeLonge basically said that was bu$%sh#it and that he was still in–the band was just “dysfunctional.” You understand, right fans? We’re just punk–it’s hard. DeLonge’s denial post on Instagram, while not quite some Scott Stapp-level stuff, was less than linear as he insisted “I actually was on a phone call about a blink 182 event for New York City at the time all these weird press releases started coming in…#awkward.”
Well Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker–the remaining members of Blink-182–told Rolling Stone that DeLonge’s post was exactly the kind of thing that got him booted from the band. They’re glad fans can see what they have to put up with. DeLonge is out, they say, and the “show must go on.”
