Actress Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story: Freak Show, 12 Years a Slave) will play Los Angeles prosecutor Marcia Clark in FX’s miniseries about the 1994-1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial, American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson. Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire) will play OJ “The Juice” Simpson, the football superstar turned murder defendant. Simpson, of course, was accused of killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
During the televised trial, Marcia Clark gained fame as the head prosecutor in the murder case. She wore her hair a number of ways including a really tight perm which Paulson will have to pull off. (Over the years, Clark has continually experimented with different hair styles.) Although Clark wrote her own book about the trial in 1997, Without a Doubt, the FX miniseries is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.
