The 40-year-old rapper Beanie Sigel (aka Dwight Grant) was released from federal prison this summer after serving a two-year sentence for tax evasion. According to the IRS, he owed more than $728,000 in back taxes. Today, just one day before his probation ends, he was shot outside a house in Pleasantville, New Jersey.
Beanie Sigel was taken to the hospital after being shot in the stomach. NBC Philadelphia reports “Police believe Sigel was living in the house where the shooting took place.” Sigel was wearing his monitoring bracelet on his ankle at the time.
