Academy Award winning actor Al Pacino (The Godfather, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon) was on the Happy Sad Confused podcast when he was asked about the possibility of starring in one of Marvel’s forthcoming comic book movies. The studio has nine new comic book movies in the works, scheduled to be released over the next four years.
The 74-year-old actor said: “I’ve met with the Marvel guy…I would imagine that either there’s something he feels is right for me –“ and then the phone rings in the studio. Pacino joked that “the call was from the studio telling him to quit talking.” Or, was it the bat phone?! Pacino has experience in the comic book movie genre. He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his Alphone “Big Boy” Caprice role in Dick Tracy.
