Rebel Heart is the name of Madonna’s new album, expected in the spring. (Is there a better title to describe the Material Girl?) It’s her 13th studio album–and Madonna just gave fans the ultimate Christmas present. Go pre-order Rebel Heart on iTunes and you’ll get to download six of the tracks right now. Madonna is jumping the gun on the release because, as she wrote in her statement, “several work-in-progress demos” were leaked earlier this week. She’d rather have people hear the real deal, not the work in progress.
The statement continues: “I was hoping to release my new single ‘Living For Love’ on Valentine’s Day with the rest of the album coming in the Spring. I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift.” Ho-ho-ho. Earlier this week Madonna took to Instagram to ask fans not to download the leaks. You know how that goes. So the tracks are out today.
