The winner of Season 7 of The Voice will be announced on Tuesday, December 16 during the two-hour live finale at 8pm on NBC. Three of the four three finalists are on Adam Levine’s team: heartthrob Chris Jamison, soul singer Damien and pop-rocker Matt McAndrew. The other is Craig Wayne Boyd on Blake Shelton’s team. The winner gets a recording contract and a check for $100,000.
A number of well-established musicians already with contracts and lots of hundreds of thousands of dollars will perform during the finale, including Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, Jennifer Hudson, Fall Out Boy, Jessie J and (wait for it) Lynyrd Skynyrd. The southern American rock band (Sweet Home Alabama, Free Bird) is rooting for Boyd to win.
