Tis the season for country music awards. Next is the American Country Countdown Awards set to air Monday, December 15 at 8pm on FOX. Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will host. All the regular superstars will perform including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood.
This year’s Groundbreaker Award will be presented to Kenny Chesney by Wedding Crashers actor Vince Vaughn. That’s right, Vince Vaughn. The new True Detective actor loves country music. The Huffington Post has pointed out that Vaughn “has incredibly good taste in music — and not just good taste but an impressive and extensive knowledge of music. And he thinks about it, he makes historical connections, he’s moved by it.” In other words, music is so money. Groundbreaker Chesney will also perform at the ceremony. He’ll play his latest Big Revival single, Til It’s Gone.
