Mexican-American singer/rapper Becky G (born Rebbeca Marie Gomez) is being compared to JLo (Jennifer Lopez). It might have something to do with Becky’s hit, Becky From the Block, a cover of her mentor’s song, Jenny From the Block. JLo and her then boyfriend Casper Smart are featured in the Becky From the Block music video. Becky G said what she loves about JLo is her laugh. So when she got to make JLo laugh on the set, Becky said she couldn’t believe it. “That’s it — my life is made,” said Becky.
Becky G isn’t from the Bronx but Inglewood, California. The Latina sensation is 17-years-old and 4’ 11”. She’s performing with her other mentor Pitbull on “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution” on Fox, December 31 at 8pm.
