Actress Elle Fanning has transformed her appearance for her latest role, a transgender teen in Three Generations. Her character, Ray, is transitioning from female to male. The film, directed by Gay Dellal (On a Clear Day), also stars Naomi Watts as Ray’s single mother, and Susan Sarandon as the Watts character’s lesbian mother. They all live in the grandmother’s New York City brownstone.
Three Generations is written by playwright Nikole Beckwith, who is also the author of a limited press chapbook of poetry, Rhymes With Blue, and is a three-time Manhattan Monologue Slam champion. Three Generations will be released January 2016.
