Chris Hemsworth is more than just the sum of his body parts. At least that’s what he wants you to believe. Sure it’s his “hot body” got him named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2014, but it’s his sobering perspective on the “honor” that really stands out.
The Australian actor, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, seems like a nice, down-to-earth guy in his interview with People. Hemsworth is appropriately self-depreciating, downplaying this newest, sexiest accolade: “Good,” he tells the magazine, “You’re a couple years too late. I hit my peak a few years ago. I’m on the decline now, so I’m not sure if I still deserve it, but thank you.” Still he’ll use the prize for something, despite being in his dotage. “I’ll put it on the mantelpiece just to remind her (wife Elsa Pataky] in the coming years.”
