How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan is returning to CBS to guest star on the network’s new show, The McCarthys. She’ll play Pam, a tenant of Marjorie (Laurie Metcalf) and Arthur (Jack McGee) on the Christmas episode which airs Thursday, December 18 at 9:30pm. Marjorie invites the broken-hearted Pam to join the family for Christmas Eve. Pam is shocked by how the family behaves at their very competitive gift exchange.
Hannigan isn’t the only guest star on The McCarthys. Jessica St. Clair (Playing House, Veep) has a recurring role as Katrina, the girlfriend of Gerard (Joey McIntyre).
