Every year Shalom Life produces its Top 50 Hottest Jewish Women list. It’s a way to “celebrate the most talented, intelligent, funny, and beautiful Jewish women in the world.” There are a number of people you expect on the list – Barbra Streisand (#45) and some you might not have known were Jewish including A Beautiful Mind’s Jennifer Connelly (#39) or Spider-Man‘s Elizabeth Banks (#27).
The top 5 including the predictable #5 Natalie Portman (she was born in Israel and lives up to all of the list’s criteria). #4 is Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. #3 is Rashida Jones of Parks and Recreation. #2 surprised many with Alison Brie (born Alison Brie Schermerhorn) aka Annie on Community and Trudy on Mad Men. She began her career acting onstage at the Jewish Community Center in Southern California. And #1 is Mila Kunis who has cited anti-Semitism in the former Soviet Union as one of the reasons her family left (now) Ukraine. Buzzfeed reports that 1,900 priests renounced Christianity and converted when they heard Kunis was Jewish!
