Fictional forensic investigator Barry Allen (Glee’s Grant Gustin) has the power of super speed. He can transform into the fastest man on earth – The Flash. TV viewers got a first look at Barry/The Flash on the CW series Arrow. The show ended in December 2013 with Barry in a coma. (He got struck down by lightning.)
Now the star of his own show, The Flash, Barry comes out of his nine-month coma and discovers that bolt of lightning gave him newfound superpowers and a six-pack of abs. The superpowers and complimentary abs will come in handy as he tries to stop other meta humans including a bank robber who can control the weather. The Flash doesn’t work alone. He has the support of Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh of Scrubs and Ed), Central City Detective Joe West (Law & Order‘s Jesse L Martin) and Barry’s childhood best friend Iris West (soap opera actress Candice Patton). The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8pm on The CW.
